My Story

ANDREW

“Chef” aka Reverend Andrew Fisher BA(Hons) MBCS ULC, is an avid photographer & Christian pastor with a ministry of over 35 years. This project “TheLatestSupper” was intended originally purely for fun and therapy at a critical time in his life; designed to encompass the three passions of, Spiritualism, Cuisine & Photography. The title though tongue in cheek, was to reflect what Andrew had consumed at that time. Whether spiritual or philosophical insight, sustenance or the current muse of his gaze; with time the blog became much more.

During the last 5 years from its fledgling beginnings, the blog has notched up over 50000 reads on subjects such as traditional world cuisine, travel, reviews, inventive recipes and Andrew has been sought by amateurs and professionals alike for his ‘no nonsense’ advice and opinion. Something that Andrew feels delighted and honoured; to be held in such reverence.

An award winning scriptwriter, designer, and filmmaker, Andrew spent almost a decade at the landmark Swansea Sound ILR becoming head of Religious Programming in 1997.

Returning to the digital airwaves in 2021, “Body & Soul” a weekly podcast from the heart of Burry Port, South Wales. A light mix of cookery advice, homilies & interviews. Available on the Podbean platform, has nurtured  an audience in 24 territories, excluding the United Kingdom.

Sharing his skills as a baker, he instigated “Brakes2Cakes”. A means of sharing with and recognising local heroes, with a sweet treat delivery whilst out exercising.

“After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church—”
