You Jammy Dodger

September 1, 2019

I love the autumn as the nights start to draw in and days become shorter. Despite the forebode of knowing that winter is near, I do take great joy in the harvest month.

This year I have been gifted apples and pumpkins in abundance and in return have been able to give choice fruit from my plum tree.

As the season moves on and with so much ripe fruit, it is time to preserve. A new avenue I have travelled is jam making. I have discovered another deeply rewarding therapy that is quite straightforward whilst requiring some vigour.

“The jam is amazing, not too sweet with a hint of tartiness.”

I present the limited batch, “The Reverend’s Plum Conserve” – made in Wales by… me!
